Fiqri Firdaus





Being a Co-Founder and the Director of Urban Bash Sports, Afiq holds a huge responsibility in liaising with governmental agencies through his broad network besides maintaining the welfare of the management team and employees. 

With experience in the sports industry since 2012, Afiq started with sports commercialization together with consulting corporate entities on organising sports events. 

His previous role with the National Football Development Programme of Malaysia (NFDP) gave him the opportunity to strengthen his mark in sports, especially in youth development programmes. Currently, he is the Secretary for Negeri Sembilan United Football Club.

Graduated from University Teknologi MARA, Afiq holds a Bachelor of Sport Science degree. 

Afiq is also a “C-Licence” football coach, certified by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).



As a Co-Founder and Director of Urban Bash Sports, Fiqri steers stakeholders’ engagement, brand consulting at an executive level whilst enhancing the brand values for organisations via sports commercialisation, along with his experience in media, governance and policy lobbying, having involved on several projects and attachment with the public and private sector in Malaysia. He is also an exco for Negeri Sembilan Cycling Association and advisor for Negeri Sembilan United Football Club. 

Fiqri graduated from Taylor’s University School of Communication, holds a BA honours degree from Newcastle Business School and a Master’s Degree in Political Economy of the Middle East from King’s College London, UK. 

Previously, Fiqri was selected as Perdana Fellows to Minister of Defence, Malaysia. The Perdana Fellowship is Malaysia’s most prestigious executive internship placement that serves directly under cabinet ministers. He was also part of the working group under the Institute for Youth Research Malaysia (IYRES) that formulates national youth policy.



Started as a sports blogger and sports journalist, Faliq is an aspiring sports marketing specialist who has been involved within the sports industry since the last nine years. 

Given his Law background (Universiti Teknologi MARA), Faliq is heavily experienced in contract negotiations, sports policymaking, sponsorship, marketing, communications, as well as international sports tours. In addition, he served as the Head of Media & Communications with the National Football Development Programme of Malaysia (NFDP) for five years. 

He was once dubbed as “the youngest Football Association deputy president in Malaysia” having elected as the Deputy President of Negeri Sembilan Malays Football Association (PBMNS) at the age of 25. 

Currently, he is the President of Negeri Sembilan United Football Club (NUFC) and the Treasurer for Sports Industry Management Association of Malaysia (PRISM). 

Previously, Faliq was chosen by the Ministry of Youth and Sports Malaysia as one of the youth members of Transformasi Nasional 2050 (TN50) Circles of the Future, a national youth canvas, representing the sports fraternity.
